The critical conversation is as important as the performativity. The artist as important as the educator. Protest comes in many forms. Let’s not become despondent to the ongoing curveballs and gaslighting, we move. 01.04.21 “Performance as Protest” (10 minutes, 2021) is a documentary style art film that features six queer Black creatives Jay Bernard, Tanaka Fuego , Niquelle LaTouche , Peter ‘Repeat Beat’ Poet , PJ Samuels, Lalah Simone Springer .commissioned by Queering Space with support from the Center for Arts, Design, and Social Research.

I understand intersectionality’s impact on experience, and I am dedicated to etching space for ostracised and underserved groups to be able to thrive, find community and reconnect to their power. In all of my work I utilise the transformative power of the arts to achieve equity and inclusion through an intersectional, trauma-informed lens. It should not be a privilege to exist authentically. If joy-filled events, programmes and resources for collective care is a focus, I am open to collaboration.

Please note: I am in harmony with the rhythms of nature, have an ambitious portfolio career and prioritise well-being and sustainable practices in every role. As a young, black*, working class, female, who has navigated many leadership roles, I know firsthand how systemic, institutional and interpersonal relationships are integral in creating change and opportunity. This requires a considerable organisational commitment and support to challenge, interrogate and reflect on practices traditionally used. I am able to find the gaps, create sustainable systems, and meaningfully engage diverse communities but only in integrity driven environments.

If you understand all of the above, you’re my tribe, let’s connect.
